Sova is the clearest case in the game for a second crosshair. Lineups need you to put the exact centre of the screen on a specific mark on a wall, and a thick cross covers that mark completely. A one pixel dot does not.
The practical setup is a normal crosshair for fighting and a dot you can switch to for lineups, either by keeping a second profile ready or by importing a dot code when you are setting up. Everything else about Sova is ordinary initiator play: you are usually shooting after your team has information, not before.
