Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 16, 2026

This policy explains what happens to information when you use valorantcrosshair.cc. The short version: the site is a set of static files, there are no accounts, and nothing you do here is stored on our side. The rest of this page is the detail behind that sentence.

Who runs this site

valorantcrosshair.cc is an independent, fan-made site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Riot Games. You can reach the operator at hello@valorantcrosshair.cc, which is also the address to use for any request described on this page.

Information you give us

None, unless you email us. There is no sign-up, no login, no newsletter and no contact form that posts anywhere. If you do email us, we hold that message and your address only for as long as it takes to answer you.

Information stored in your browser

The crosshair generator saves your current code and your saved crosshairs using localStorage, which is a store inside your own browser. That data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. We do not use localStorage or cookies to identify or track you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived request logs, as effectively all web hosting does: IP address, user agent, the URL requested, and the time. These exist for security and for keeping the site online. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

The site's own code sets no cookies. Two third parties do. Google Analytics sets its _ga cookies on every page to tell a returning visitor from a new one, and the embedded contact form can set Google's cookies inside its iframe, but only if you scroll far enough to load it. Both are described below.

The contact form

The form on the contact page is a Google Form embedded in an iframe. It is the one third-party embed on the site. Loading it means your browser connects to Google, which can see your IP address and set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy, not ours. The embed is deferred until you scroll to it, so simply opening the page does not load it. Whatever you type in the form is stored in Google Forms and read by us; we use it only to reply to you. If you would rather not involve Google at all, the email address on the same page reaches the same person.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Where that happens:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement id G-ZWP0D51Y0E). It loads googletagmanager.com/gtag/js on every page and records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and which site referred you. It sets cookies to recognise a returning visitor.

We use it to see which crosshairs and players people actually look for, so the database gets expanded where it is used. We do not sell it, and we do not try to identify anyone from it. What Google itself does with the data is governed by Google's privacy policy, not this one.

If you would rather not be counted: any content blocker stops it, browsers with tracking protection on stop it, and Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you block it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out to sources and tools we do not control. Following one of those links puts you under that site's privacy policy, not this one.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection over personal data held about you. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you comparable rights, including the right to know what is collected and to ask for deletion, and we do not sell personal information. Because this site holds nothing beyond an email you may have sent us and our host's server logs, most of these requests are answered quickly. Write to hello@valorantcrosshair.cc.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes, such as introducing advertising or analytics, will be reflected here before they go live.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or any request under it, go to hello@valorantcrosshair.cc. There is more on how to reach us on the contact page.
